And then it was August!

I can't believe this is the last week of July! Where does it go? I've already been back with the 7th Signal Bde 2 months. Things are starting to gel, I'm working with both battalions as one gets ready to come home and the other begins to gear up to go.

As for us, my countdown on the side is not so accurate, and I may even change it when I get motivated. We are looking at just a little over 11 months now, and my planner gene is kicking in. I'm going to make a list of things to do each month to get us ready to go.

I'll post more tonight. Pictures of the Castle Illumination Tour we took this weekend. :)

Still here...

Just been I guess a little busy, and a little lazy. I know I haven't posted much lately, and for that I apologize. I will try to get better...not making any promises, though! :)

Love you dearly and miss you much. ~h

Not exactly true...

The counter says this: 395 days, 7 hrs, 57 mins, & 15 secs! (probably a bit less now)

But the truth is...we will probably be home this time next year!!! That's right, ONE YEAR to go. Our DEROS (Date Eligible for Return From Overseas) <--yes, I looked it up.--is 10 AUG 2009. Well, apparently the way it is done is that you usually take 30 days leave prior to flying out. That would put us at Aug 10 minus 1 month...that's...you got it, July 10, 2009. ONE YEAR.

In that time, we hope to fit in more skiing, possible trips to Prague, Rome, return to Paris, Greece, Austria...etc. We are also looking forward to a few visitors. So, my planning gene is kicking in and hoping to help the time fly until we get orders, move to the guest house (temporary housing between here and there) and get home!

SEE YOU SOON!!!

Berlin July 2008

Our friend Nancey came to visit last week, and the three of us went to Berlin. We had a great time exploring the city for 4 days! Stephen and Nancey went to the Neuschwanstein Castle the day before, but I was working, so I have no pictures of that. :(
Enjoy!

If this link won't get you there, give me a couple more days...I had to use snapfish because ordering prints was cheaper, but I will be putting them on kodak gallery, my old standby...

You Should Live in the Suburbs

Like many people, you like the city - but you don't want to live in it.

For you, the suburbs is the perfect compromise.

You can enjoy the city as much as you want, but you have a quiet, safe neighborhood to come home to.

Girls night out

Last weekend I went with my old friends from 5th Signal to dinner and salsa. We didn't do any salsaing, but we watched people do it! A good time was had by all, and here is a picture as we began our adventure.
