I LOVE this song! The kids all love this song. Funny that there was a picture of sonic in the video. Is sonic from Texas?
That was pretty cute! KC, I think Sonic is a TX thing. I know GA didn't have them until recently. And CA doesn't have them.
Yes, I think so. NY doesn't have them, nor does KS or MO. However...Arkansas does...so maybe it started in TX and is a "surrounding states" thing. I wanted to see a DQ too!
I appreciated the BlueBell mention, but I was surprised that ZZ Top was left out. And what about Mr. Plow?
There are Sonics in Alabama where I was born- and they sell "Pickle-O's" (deep fried battered pickle slices) which I've never seen in Texas - so that makes me think maybe TX wasn't the original location since they don't have the "full menu." Feel free to search the i-net and prove me wrong, as that's just my theory.
Apparently they had the fried pickles in TX, but I don't remember ever seeing them either. And there is an extended version where ZZ Top is mentioned...don't know about Mr. Plow though. And the extended version is one with "explicit lyrics".
