Our Battalion

We had a change of command today. I love this picture of the battalion.

What does change of command mean? New boss? Why, did the other one get the boot?

Also, I always click on the picture to get a better look and I noticed someone that seems a little bit bigger than the other soldiers. Is that allowed in the army? Don't they hafta do PE everyday?

New big boss. The commanders change out every couple of years. Our other one is moving on to a new assignment.
Bigger meaning overweight, he would have to be on an "overweight program" where they are suppose to see a nutritionist, do more cardio with your training (PT=physical training) etc. Yes, they all have to do PT every day. But some manage to get out of it one way or the other.
Bigger meaning musclier (I just made up that word) would be that they work out all the time.
Both instances are allowed in the Army.

Boy - It would stink to work with a bunch of skinnier people and have your boss tell you that you hafta be in the overweight program. Whew - I am glad my job doesn't do that!
